Morels are certainly some of the oddest looking, but most delicious mushrooms I've ever experienced. We found these under some ash trees in our woods. I had fun arranging them in a beautiful bowl that was made by my friend, Richard Aerni.
About Patricia Overmoyer
I am a 1977 graduate of Cornell's School of Architecture, Art & Planning with a BFA in Fine Arts, majoring in painting and printmaking. Upon graduation I received the Goodwin Sands Memorial Medal for "exceptional merit in art". After a long hiatus, I have recently resumed my art career, currently concentrating on digital photography. Wonderful image! Happy to hear the mention that they were found among ash trees (a favorite morel location as well as black walnut groves)...Im impatiently looking forward to spring and morel season because of this wonderful pic ;)
